Old Forester – 1870 Original Batch

A bourbon from Old Forester, the first expression in its Whiskey Row series. It marks 1870, the year George Garvin Brown created Old Forester on Whiskey Row in Louisville, Kentucky. The batching follows Brown's original practice of combining barrels from three distilleries. Today the barrels are chosen from three warehouses, each from a different day of production, with a different entry proof and a different age profile. The three expressions are batched together and minimally filtered.
