Old Forester 1897 Bottled In Bond Bourbon Whisky (75cl, 50%)

Old Forester 1897 Bottled in Bond is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV). It is the second release in the brand's Whiskey Row Series and marks the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. Under that designation the whisky comes from a single distillation season, one distiller and one distillery, and spends at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse. The Whiskey Row Series revisits the brand as it was enjoyed from the late 1800s to the mid-1920s. Caramel, vanilla bean, dried fruit, sweet leather and cured tobacco mark the nose. The palate is sticky toffee and smoky wood with figs, dates, raisins, black pepper and cinnamon, and the big, bold finish carries deep fruit, spice and oak.
