Old Forester 1897 Bottled in Bond is a Kentucky bourbon in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 50% ABV. It belongs to the Whiskey Row series, which Brown-Forman introduced in 2014 to show how the brand has developed since its beginnings. The name refers to the Bottled in Bond act of 1897, which allowed barrels to mature in a bonded government warehouse. To recreate the style of that era, the mashbill is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% barley. It is described as having heavy notes of caramel, vanilla and honey, with plenty of oak spice on the finish.
