Old Forester 1897 is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled in bond, made in line with the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897 and bottled at 50% ABV. It is made from corn, rye and malted barley and aged for four years in charred oak barrels.
It has a deep amber colour. The nose carries caramelised sugars, toasted oak and hints of spice. On the palate come caramel, vanilla and oak, followed by a smooth, warming finish.
