Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Bourbon is a double-barreled Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is made in Louisville by Old Forester, part of Brown-Forman.
Fully matured Old Forester bourbon, from a mashbill of 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley, goes into a second new oak barrel at 100 proof. These barrels have a Level 4+ char, burned almost to incineration.
The nose is caramel, brown sugar and toffee. The palate brings butter pecan, milk chocolate and charred oak, and the finish is long and warming, with clove, chili pepper and tobacco earthiness.
