Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky is a double-barrelled bourbon bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the fourth and final release in the Whiskey Row Series.
The name looks back to a fire in 1910 that halted bottling, when aged bourbon was moved into secondary charred barrels. Today's version follows that process: aged in a new oak barrel, then re-barrelled into heavily toasted and charred oak at 100 proof.
The nose is buttercream, sticky toffee, cedar and apricot. The palate is viscous and smooth, with caramel, milk chocolate, oatmeal-raisin cookie and cinnamon. The finish is medium to long, with charred oak, dark chocolate and lingering caramel.
