Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style is a bourbon bottled at 115 proof (57.5%). It recalls the Prohibition years, when Old Forester continued to be produced as medicinal whiskey on Louisville's Whiskey Row under one of six permits granted to Kentucky distillers. Whiskies of that era had to be bottled at 100 proof. With a barrel entry proof of 100, maturation and the angel's share would have brought it to 115 proof, and this bottling aims to show the rich flavour profile bourbon had nearly 100 years ago.
