Old Forester – 1920 Prohibition Style Bourbon Whisky (75cl, 57.5%)

Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style is a bourbon bottled at 57.5% ABV (115 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It honours the Prohibition era, when Old Forester was one of only six distilleries permitted to produce medicinal whiskey, and it was originally bottled at 100 proof. The mash bill is Old Forester's classic 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. The nose is cherry preserves, dark chocolate, caramel and maple syrup with seasoned oak. The palate has dark caramel, malted nuttiness and graham cracker over black pepper, coriander and a touch of cedar. The finish is long and smoky-sweet, ending in dark chocolate, tobacco and oak char.
