Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style Kentucky Bourbon (75cl, 57.5%)

Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 57.5% ABV, or 115 proof, in a 750ml bottle. It belongs to the Whiskey Row series, which Brown-Forman announced in 2014 to show how the brand has evolved. It aims to recreate the barrel proof whiskey Old Forester might have made during Prohibition. Distillers then bottled at 100 proof, but Old Forester believes a mature cask would by then have evaporated to around 57.5% ABV, which is why this one is bottled stronger. Cocoa and charred oak lead on the palate, with plenty of wood spice at the back end.
