Old Forester Birthday Bourbon is an annual limited release, issued each year on 2 September in honour of the brand's founder, George Garvin Brown, on his birthday. The series began in 2002, and this 2026 edition comes in a 70cl bottle. It was made from barrels laid down in 2015 and bottled at 97 proof, 48.5% ABV, after 11 years of maturation. The palate is described as dark brown sugar, warm honey and rich buttery caramel, with bold tobacco, herbal notes and bright cherry. The finish carries toasted oak, a little graham cracker and a lingering hint of mint.
