This is the 2026 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon, a limited-edition Kentucky straight bourbon honouring the company's founder, George Garvin Brown. It is bottled at 48.5% ABV (97 proof) in a 70cl bottle.
The bourbon was barrelled in 2015 and aged for over 11 years in new charred oak before being bottled in 2026. It was distilled and bottled by Old Forester Distilling Co. in Louisville, Kentucky.
The nose brings rich caramel, toasted oak, vanilla bean and dark fruit with subtle baking spice. The palate is silky, with brown sugar, ripe cherry and warm spice. The finish is long, with lingering sweetness and gentle spice.
