Old Forester Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky, Bottled 1979 (94.6cl, 43%)

Old Forester is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled in 1979, in a 94.6cl bottle at 43% ABV. The brand was created in 1870 by George Garvin Brown, a former pharmaceutical salesman, and is described as the longest continuously running bourbon. It was one of the few brands allowed to keep producing through Prohibition, when it was sold as medicinal whiskey. Brown's bourbon was also the first to be sold only in sealed bottles, mainly through doctors' offices and pharmacies, as a guard against adulteration.
