Old Forester – President's Choice Bourbon Whiskey (75cl)

Old Forester President's Choice is a single-barrel bourbon from the Old Forester distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. Each barrel is hand-selected by the company president and bottled uncut and non-chill-filtered at natural cask strength, so the proof changes from barrel to barrel, within a range of 110 to 125. The programme revives a tradition from 1964, when former president George Garvin Brown II offered private single barrels to figures in the industry. There is no age statement, and the barrels are typically 7 to 9 years old. Tasting notes run to vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, dark fruit and baking spice, with molasses, dark chocolate, rye spice, black pepper and leather, and a long, warming oak finish.
