Old Forester Statesman Bourbon Whisky (75cl, 47.5%)

Old Forester Statesman is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 47.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle, with no age statement. It began in 2017 as a partnership with the film Kingsman: The Golden Circle and was launched that August. The casks are hand-selected from the warmest places in the Old Forester warehouse in Louisville, where the heat drives a bolder, spicier flavour. The mash bill is the house recipe of 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. The nose offers spiced baked apples, rye spice, raw vanilla and sweet oak. The palate brings apple pie, cream soda, pepper, cinnamon and sweet leather, and the finish is quick and spicy, with subtle eucalyptus fading into orange cream and caramel.
