Old Forester – Statesman Bourbon Whisky (47.5%)

Old Forester Statesman is a Kentucky bourbon without an age statement, bottled at 47.5% ABV. It first appeared in 2017 as a tie-in with the film Kingsman: The Golden Circle and is now a permanent part of the range. It is made from hand-selected barrels from the warmest warehouse floors, using a mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. The nose has cherry, baked apple, brown sugar and vanilla over oak spice, clove and cinnamon. The palate is velvety, with caramel, maraschino cherry, banana, cocoa, leather, black pepper and citrus zest. The finish carries spice and eucalyptus, fading to orange cream, caramel and mild oak.
