Old Forester The President's Choice is a single-barrel Kentucky straight bourbon, released in a limited edition and bottled at barrel strength of 61.8% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured for 88 months in charred American oak. The series is a nod to a tradition dating to 1964, in which barrels are picked by Old Forester's president or master blender, and it returned in 2018.
The nose offers dried cherry, raisin and fig with caramel, vanilla and toasted oak. The palate is dense caramel, baked fruit, dark chocolate and rye spice, and the finish is long and warming, with oak, baking spice and a touch of leather.
