Old Grand-Dad Bottled in Bond Bourbon (50%)

Old Grand-Dad is a bourbon named in honour of Basil Hayden Sr. It is bottled in bond, so it comes from a single distillery and a single year, and it was aged for at least four years in a government-bonded warehouse. It is bottled at 100 proof (50%) and made with a higher rye content. The flavours run to vanilla, ginger, orange peel, pumpkin, coconut, caramel and all-spice, with a rich, spicy character and some kick from the strength.
