This is Old Grand-Dad Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, bottled in 1979 at 43% ABV in a 75.7cl bottle.
The brand takes its name from Basil Hayden, whose second-generation descendants chose it in his honour. He still appears on the label. Their original distillery at Hobbs Station never re-opened after Prohibition, and National Distillers bought the Frankfort distillery in 1933. Jim Beam acquired National Distillers in 1987, some years after this bottle was filled.
