Old Grand-Dad Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Bottled 1994 and 1996 (70cl, 43%)

This is Old Grand-Dad Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, bottled in 1994 and 1996 at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Bourbon historian Chuck Cowdery calls the brand's story one of the richest in bourbon country. Basil Hayden, for whom it was named, still appears on the label. The Wathen family reorganised their company as the American Medicinal Spirits Co ahead of Prohibition, and National Distillers eventually took it over. Jim Beam acquired National Distillers in 1987 and produced this bourbon at Clermont, close to the site of the original Hobbs Station distillery.
