Old Hamer Cask Strength Bourbon (75cl, 60%)

Old Hamer Cask Strength is a barrel-proof bourbon from Indiana, bottled without proof adjustment at between 115 and 120 proof, roughly 57.5 to 60% ABV, depending on the batch. It comes in a 750ml bottle. The spirit is a light whiskey distillate made from an unusual mashbill of 99% corn and 1% malted barley. Rather than using used casks, as is usual for light whiskey, West Fork Whiskey Co. ages it for a minimum of four years in new 53-gallon charred American oak barrels. The nose offers oak, vanilla, honey, cherry and toasted marshmallow. On the palate come caramel, butterscotch, black pepper and plum, and the finish is long and warming with toffee, charred grain and tannic oak.
