Old Overholt Bonded is a straight rye whiskey in the Bottled-in-Bond category, bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 75cl bottle. It is aged for a minimum of four years and comes from a single distillation season, as the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 requires.
The brand takes its name from Abraham Overholt (1784-1870), described as one of the fathers of American distilling, and it is among the longest-running rye brands on the market.
