Old Overholt Straight Rye Whiskey is an American rye aged for three years, bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The brand goes back to Abraham Overholt (1784-1870), regarded as one of the fathers of American distilling, and it rests on three standards: work hard, stand fast and don't waver.
After Prohibition it became one of the most popular spirits in the country. It is described as having a rich palate with a tinge of sweetness, and is known for mixing well in classic cocktails such as the Sazerac and the Old Style Manhattan.
