Old Particular Invergordon 20 Years Old (70cl, 48%)

This is a 20 year old single grain Scotch whisky from Invergordon, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range. It was distilled in October 2002 and bottled in February 2023, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. The whisky matured in a refill sherry butt, and the bottling is one of 740. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. Cara Laing, who leads the company, describes grain whisky as having a different range of flavour and texture from malt. She finds warm spice and vanilla in this one, followed by a soft, confectionery finish.
