Old Pepper Small Batch Single Malt Whiskey (75cl, 50%)

Old Pepper Small Batch Single Malt Whiskey is a Kentucky single malt in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 50%. It is made from 100% malted barley, fermented, distilled and bottled in very small batches at the James E. Pepper Distillery in Lexington, and it is matured in new charred oak. The Pepper whiskey brand has roots in the American Revolution and was relaunched in 2008 by Amir Peay. The rebuilt distillery began distilling again in December 2017. The nose offers caramel, oak, fresh-cut hay and citrus. On the palate come brown sugar, stone fruit and a malt note like rising bread dough, followed by a smooth finish with lingering malt.
