Old Perth 21 Year Old Blended Malt (43.6%)

Old Perth 21 Year Old is a limited blended malt of Macallan and Highland Park, bottled at 43.6%. Only 900 bottles were filled. The vatting came about in 2015, when the Highland Park component, distilled in 2004 and then 10 to 11 years old, was combined with a considerably older Macallan. The mixture was moved into hand-picked Oloroso sherry butts and left to mature. Earlier Old Perth bottlings of 12, 13 and 14 years came from the same vatting. The notes mention layers of sherried fruit, warming spices and gentle oak, with a lingering finish carrying some smoke.
