Old Perth 21 Year Old Limited Edition (70cl, 43.6%)

Old Perth 21 Year Old is a limited edition blended malt from Morrison Distillers, a vatting of Macallan and Highland Park bottled at 43.6% in a 70cl bottle. Only 900 bottles were filled, with natural colour and no chill filtration. The vatting came about by accident in 2015, when the two malts were combined. The Highland Park was distilled in 2004. The blend then went into hand-picked Oloroso sherry butts for long maturation. Earlier Old Perth bottlings were 12, 13 and 14 years old. The colour is dark chestnut. The nose has deep sherried fruit, sultanas and oak smoke, the palate sherried fruit, warming spices and gentle oak, and the finish is lingering and smoky.
