Old Perth Cask Strength Sherry Cask No.1 is a blended malt, a vatting made only from single malt whiskies, bottled at 61.8%. It is a limited edition.
After blending, the whisky was kept in a sherry cask, which gave it its unusual colour.
The nose is sweet, with a clear sherry character, some oak and dark fruit. The palate is very sweet and round, with cooked dark fruit and cask wood, and it drinks easily for its strength. The finish is medium in length and sweet, with the sherry cask still evident.
