Old Perth Macallan & Highland Park 21 Year Old Blended Malt

This is a 21 year old blended malt from Old Perth, made by Morrison Distillers, combining whiskies from Macallan and Highland Park. It began in 2015 as an unplanned vatting of the two malts. The Highland Park part had been distilled in 2004 and was 10 to 11 years old at the time, while the Macallan part was considerably older. The vatting was moved into sherry casks, and the release is described as maturing in Oloroso sherry butts. It was previously released at 12, 13 and 14 years old. The tasting notes describe sherried fruit, warming spices and gentle oak, with a lingering finish.
