Old Perth The Original Sherry Cask (70cl, 46%)

Old Perth The Original is a blended malt matured in sherry casks and bottled by Morrison Distillers at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It brings together sherry-matured malts from distilleries in the Glenlivet area of Speyside and is blended in Perth, Scotland. The colour is natural and the whisky is not chill filtered. The nose balances sweet malt with sherried fruit and a hint of fudge. On the palate, soft red fruits sit alongside light vanilla cream, gentle oak and wood spice. The official description adds warm dried fruits and honeyed cloves. The finish is smooth and medium in length, returning to red fruit before a touch of wood spice.
