This is a 12 year old Old Pulteney single malt bottled by the Scottish Malt Whisky Society under the code 52.51. It was distilled on 27 August 2013 and spent 12 years in a single ex-bourbon barrel, then was bottled at 55.1% abv in an outturn of 221 bottles.
Old Pulteney is described as briny, sharp and fruity, with a coastal, maritime character. The bourbon barrel adds sweet, vanilla and creamy notes from American white oak.
