Old Pulteney 16 Year Old is a Highland single malt from a distillery in the fishing town of Wick, in the far north of Scotland, looking out over the North Sea. The distillery is known for its maritime style of whisky.
The whisky has matured partly in ex-bourbon casks and partly in Spanish oak casks, and it is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is typically described as honey, vanilla, spice, fruit and chocolate. On the palate come Christmas cake, green apples and toffee.
