Old Pulteney – 17 Year Old Single Cask LMDW (70cl, 53.6%)

This is a 17 year old single cask Old Pulteney, selected exclusively for La Maison du Whisky. It was distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2021 at 53.6%, giving 240 bottles from cask number 227, each in a 70cl bottle. Old Pulteney was founded in 1826 and is the most northern distillery on the Scottish mainland. It closed for almost 30 years before reopening in 1959, and is now owned by the Inverhouse group. The distillery is known for a saline character with hints of coconut and broom, and most of its bottlings are matured in bourbon casks.
