Old Pulteney – 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

This is Old Pulteney 18 Year Old, a single malt matured for 18 years and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Its character and its deep amber colour come entirely from the casks in which it was matured, with chocolate and spice at the centre and livelier citrus notes alongside. The nose is intense and warming, with chocolate, creamy vanilla and honey, a little floral fruit, then citrus and apple. On the palate, chocolate and honeyed spice meet Christmas cake, with floral touches and zesty citrus and green apple running into a long finish.
