This is an 18 year old Highland single malt from Old Pulteney, the distillery in Wick, Caithness, on Scotland's north-east coast. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The whisky was matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks and Spanish oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry. Old Pulteney is known as The Maritime Malt, after the sea air around the distillery.
It is described as showing dried fruit, vanilla, citrus zest, dark chocolate, oak spice and gentle briny notes.
