Old Pulteney 2012 Flotilla is a vintage single malt, distilled in 2012 and matured in American oak casks that previously held bourbon. It is bottled at 46% ABV and is non-chill-filtered.
The distillery is often called The Maritime Malt, and this expression reflects that coastal character, with a fresh, salty style.
On the nose it is saline, with green apple, honey and citrus. The palate is soft and silky, with vanilla, caramel, light spice and a little toasted oak. The finish is long and dry, with lingering maritime notes and a hint of salinity.
