This is a 10 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace, bottled at 107 proof (53.5% ABV) in a 75cl bottle. It uses the Van Winkle wheated mashbill, with wheat in place of rye for a sweeter, smoother character.
The nose offers rich caramel, toasted pecans and sweet cherries. The palate is oily and concentrated, with vanilla crème brûlée, dark honey and warm baking spices. The finish is long and smooth, with cherry tobacco and soft, dry oak.
