Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon matured for ten years. A splash of Kentucky limestone well-water is added when the barrels are emptied, and it is bottled at 107 proof, which is 53.5% ABV, in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is sweet, with caramel, nut and fudge alongside spice. The palate is fruity and substantial, with dried fruit and toasted nuts, followed by a long finish of peppery spice, floral honey and charred oak.
