Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Years Old is a Kentucky bourbon bottled as close to barrel proof as possible. A small amount of Kentucky limestone well-water is added when the barrels are emptied for bottling.
It has a rich copper colour. The nose is sweet and spicy, with caramel, nut and fudge aromas. The palate is fruity and medium to full-bodied, with intense dried fruit and toasted nuts. The finish is very long, with peppery brown spices, floral honey and charred barrel.
