Old Soul 9 Year Old Tintype #2 Straight Bourbon (75cl, 55%)

This is a 9 year old straight bourbon from Old Soul, bottled at cask strength of 55.05% in a 750ml bottle. It is non-chill filtered and forms part of the Tintype Series, as number 2, made in collaboration between Cathead Distillery and the Music Makers Foundation. The spirit was distilled at MGP in Indiana from a mashbill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, then aged in the heat of Jackson, Mississippi. The nose offers fig, vanilla custard and brown sugar, with pear, black cherry and dark chocolate beneath. The palate is soft, with dried fig, vanilla, rose petal, toffee and baking spices. The finish is long and spicy, with black pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg.
