Ole Smoky Blackberry is a flavoured Tennessee whiskey from Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine in Gatlinburg, bottled at 30% in a 750ml bottle. Natural blackberry flavour is blended into a whiskey base made from a mashbill of 80% corn.
The distillery runs two copper pot stills and is the first federally licensed distillery in East Tennessee.
Tasting notes describe crushed blackberry, cinnamon, a little chocolate and soft vanilla on the nose. The palate moves from blackberry juice to honey, caramel and tart chocolate, and the medium finish brings toasted oak, cinnamon and a tangy blackberry note, ending semi-dry.
