Ole Smoky Moonshine (75cl, 50%)

Ole Smoky Moonshine is an unaged corn whiskey distilled in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and bottled at 50% in a 75cl bottle. It follows a century-old family recipe. The mash is 80% corn, a hickory cane variety grown by local farmers in Jefferson County, and the rest of the grain bill is kept private. The spirit goes into the bottle straight from the still. Ole Smoky was the first federally licensed distillery in the history of East Tennessee. The nose is buttery smoke, sweet corn and nutmeg. The palate brings hominy, buttered popcorn and sweet corn, with smoky notes and heat that builds gradually. The finish is clean and gently sweet, with the corn lingering longer than the heat.
