Ole Smoky – White Lightnin' (50cl)

Ole Smoky White Lightnin' is a moonshine made entirely from wheat, in a 50cl bottle. It comes from the Ole Smoky distillery in Tennessee, run by a family from the Appalachian mountains who had made moonshine illegally for around 100 years before the state allowed licensed distilleries. It was the first federally licensed distillery to open in eastern Tennessee. It is made with mixing in mind, and adds a stronger kick to a cocktail than gin or vodka would. The nose is intense and broad. The palate is warm and enveloping, with a long, lingering finish.
