This is a blended Japanese whisky from the Onikishi series, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The name joins the Japanese words for demon, Oni, and honourable knight, Kishi, from folklore.
It is a limited edition inspired by the cherry blossom season, and the blend is finished in sakura (cherry blossom) wood casks rather than the more usual bourbon, sherry or mizunara oak.
The whisky is described as sweet, floral, fruity and lightly spiced. The nose is floral, with honey, cherries and juicy pear alongside vanilla.
