Onikishi Tenbatsu is a 12 year old Japanese blended whisky in a 70cl bottle. Its name means divine punishment, an inescapable force unleashed by the gods to restore balance for those who dishonour Japan's heritage and obstruct its evolution.
The nose has light toffee and lightly spiced caramelised fruit, with vanilla and a woody note from its time in cask. The palate is toasty and rich with grain, lightly smoked malt and a touch of honey, leading to an orangey, spiced linger. The finish is layered, with cereal, caramel, cedar and citrus.
