Onikishi Tenbatsu, which means divine punishment, is a 12 year old Japanese blended whisky made from malt and grain whisky. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The name Onikishi translates as demon knight.
Tasting notes describe a nose of toasted oak, soft smoke, honeyed malt, caramel and toffee, with light citrus peel. The palate has malt sweetness, caramelised sugar and orange zest, with touches of spice and charred wood. The finish is long and smooth, with oak, vanilla, soft tannin and a whisper of smoke.
