Castle's Curse is a 14 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Orphan Barrel range, bottled at 47.4% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was made at Teaninich Distillery in the Scottish Highlands, overlooking the Cromarty Firth, and matured in selected European oak casks.
The label pays homage to the legend of the Kelpie, the shape-shifting water-horse of Scottish folklore.
The nose is described as tangerine, poached pear, sweet confectionery and dried herbs. On the palate come vanilla, red apple and mint, followed by a long finish with a hint of oak and spice.
