Orphan Barrel Fable & Folly 14 Year Old Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 45%)

This is a Kentucky whiskey from Diageo's Orphan Barrel project, bottled at 45% in a 750ml bottle. It was released in 2022 and every component is at least 14 years old. It marries the last remaining stocks of three earlier Orphan Barrel releases, Barterhouse, Forged Oak and Rhetoric, with aged rye and corn whiskies, which makes it technically a blend of bourbon and rye components. The label art brings together the fox, hummingbird and stag from those three bottlings. The brand describes a burst of spice that warms to a creamy richness, with sweet notes of syrup and fruit, toffee and a little pepper, ending in rich charred oak.
