Muckety-Muck 26 Year Old is a single grain Scotch whisky from Orphan Barrel, made at Port Dundas Distillery in Glasgow, which ran from 1810 until it closed in 2010. It is bottled at 92 proof (46%) in a 75cl bottle.
The series is named after the pompous figures in the Victoriana artwork on each label. This bottling draws on some of the last and oldest casks left at Port Dundas.
The nose is caramel, fudge and baked sugar with fresh fruit, berries and poached pear. On the palate butterscotch vanilla meets toasted oak, crisp fruit and a light fruity sweetness. The finish is long and quietly warming, with lingering vanilla.
