Night Sage is a 25 year old blended Canadian whisky and the 25th release from Orphan Barrel. It is made from barrels from Ontario and Manitoba, blending two distillate streams matured in first-dump barrels and in multi-use barrels that had each held Canadian whisky before. The label carries a snowy owl.
On the nose there are golden butterscotch and vanilla, with toasted waffle and maple syrup. The palate is led by fig, with a roasted chestnut-like texture, and the finish is long and warm with dried fruit.
