Oxhead Dram-Addicts Ledaig 26 Year Old (70cl, 48.6%)

A 26-year-old Ledaig from Tobermory distillery, bottled by Oxhead in its Dram-Addicts range. It was distilled in September 1995 and bottled in September 2021 from a refill hogshead, giving 147 bottles at a cask strength of 48.6%, with natural colour and no chill filtration. Ledaig is usually the heavily peated make of Tobermory, but this one is unpeated, with a character of tropical fruit and sea air. The nose brings ripe fruit, mango, orange, stewed apple and marmalade, with salinity, olive oil and a faint trace of smoke. The palate has peppercorn, oak and butterscotch over nectarine, pineapple, guava and papaya. The finish is lightly drying, with creamy latte and dark chocolate.
